Sometime ago J took up an offer on Freecycle about an electric hedge trimmer. It was working but it needed a screw replacement. He took it to a shop in Lower Hutt that specializes in gardening tools but he was told that the hedge trimmer needs a new trimmer and it was a whopping $135! Might as well get a new one!
This morning we took it to Mitre 10 and the staff helped us get a replacement screw for $1.30. We took it home, tried it on a bush in the front yard and it worked! I'm very pleased about this deal, but I'm thankful to be a member of Freecyle even more.
